Opportunities
Volunteers are the core and strength of our agency. We value their contribution and time, and are committed to providing them with ongoing support and training throughout their time with us.
In 2006 KWSASC volunteers contributed over 10,000 hours!
KWSASC serves all of Waterloo Region and values representation from all areas, backgrounds, professions and experiences among our volunteers.
Volunteer opportunities include:
We require and provide training for all positions. Volunteer Training is offered twice per year in the early spring and fall. Volunteers are interviewed throughout the year and those invited to join training will be keep updated about the next training dates. Training takes place one evening night per week for 6-8 weeks (dependent on volunteer position) with one full weekend session.

Volunteer Information Night followed by an introductory training session

(1 hour Volunteer information), (2 hour optional Introductory Training)
Location: 151 Frederick Street, Suite 201, Kitchener
Event: We host general information nights in the winter and in the fall for females interested in volunteering with the Kitchener-Waterloo Sexual Assault Support Centre. We will present an overview of the organization and volunteer opportunities, followed by an introductory training. It is a chance for you to get to know KWSASC and find out how you can be involved in serving Waterloo Region.
